Ambiguous scope of article

[edit]

It's completely unclear whether this article is referring to ethnic Azerbaijanis regardless of their country of origin or to people with their origins in the Republic of Azerbaijan regardless of their ethnicity. The distinction is an important one - I imagine the majority of ethnic Azerbaijanis in the UK are from Iran, with many also from Armenia and Russia; whereas many immigrants from the Republic of Azerbaijan are liable to be ethnic Armenians, Russians, Lezgins and Talysh - but the distinction isn't even mentioned in the article.

I am more than sure it is referred to Azerbaijani citizens, except armenians which in uk live as british armenians.--Xoncha (talk) 23:26, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yacatisma's edits

[edit]

Quite a lot of material was added to this article by Yacatisma, who is now banned as a sockpuppet of [User:NovaSkola|NovaSkola]], who is now blocked indefinitely, having previously been topic banned from Azerbaijan-related articles. The first few additions I've look at have proven not to be supported by the sources provided, so I'm going to treat all of this material with suspicion and remove it as I see fit. If anyone thinks that the material can be supported, please do add it again, with reliable sources. Cordless Larry (talk) 09:26, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
