Sources for future article expansion[edit]

There are additional cites for some of the information at the first Muslim prince's article. The provided Tubingen article also has several more centuries of information to add, including its importance under Saladin. Ditto Encyclopedia of Islam. — LlywelynII 18:18, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Move[edit]

This belongs at Balis (Syria) or some equivalent dab. The battle may be important and Greco-Roman but ngram has the modern Arabic form as much more common, it has been Balis for longer and with more history including multiple caliphs & their relatives, it was more important as a city under its Arabic name, and the Arabic name is the one the site currently has.

Even if the Greco-Roman settlement were snipped off, the Latin form is the more basic and common one for English. — LlywelynII 12:13, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
