[edit]Berkswich and Baswich are different places. — MovieJunkie Talk! 16:06, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Removal of dubious content
[edit]I have removed the following from the article.
- Baswich is defined by the Postal Service[who?] as the western side of Baswich Lane and the housing estate in the area directly behind. Holy Trinity Church is on the left hand side of the road and is thus in Baswich. Strangely, those houses on the eastern side are officially neither in Baswich nor in Weeping Cross.
- The number one bus serves both Baswich and Weeping Cross, though mainly the latter, for there are only three bus stops on the left hand side of the main road for Baswich. Nevertheless, the number one bus is still referred to[by whom?] as the 'Baswich bus'.
Ordnance Survey maps label the area to the east of Baswich Lane as Baswich. The Royal Mail postcode finder gives the postal address of streets on both sides of the Lane as "Streetname, Stafford", and does not mention Baswich. I am not sure that what local people call a bus service is encyclopaedic. The content had been tagged for over nine months, with an "Expert Help Needed" banner at the top of the article. User:Blue-star-notes, who wrote the content, has not been active since March 2010, when he was warned about content which was clearly vandalism. If anyone has sources to support the claims, please feel free to reinstate them, with refs to those sources. Bob1960evens (talk) 09:06, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
