Breakfast, not evening meal

[edit]

This article says that Herodotus wrote that Cleomenes attacked them while they were eating their evening meal. According to the source they cited, it was during breakfast. CrypticIndividual1000 (talk) 13:59, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Due to the ambiguous nature pertaining to Ancient History sources, placing an exact time on the meal in which the Spartans attack becomes challenging. However, the most widely accepted account of this Battle comes from Herodotus (Book 6, 'The Histories')(reference 4), in which the historian records an attack to occur during the evening. I have taken your feedback on board and adjusted the article accordingly. Thank you for your advice! WIKIWORDZZ
