Section on Triple Crown near-misses may be beneficial.
I would like to edit this page and may it more similar tot he pages on Ellis Park or Santa Anita. If you have suggestions, please post them by 6 ET on 11/11/05. Thanks.
Expansion plans
Could anybody slightly rephrase that, the possibility of a closure of Aqueduct and expansion of BP isn't a totally new plan, I remember first reading this (btw, incredibly stupid) idea sometime last year. Malc82 20:58, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:BelmontPKNYRA.JPG
Image:BelmontPKNYRA.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:03, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Largest dirt track in the world
The reports are wrong, Belmont doesn´t have the largest dirt track in the Americas alone; San Isidro (In Buenos Aires, Argentina) has a 2,590 m. Dirt Track. It should be rephrased. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KoopaTroopa (talk • contribs) 18:30, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Barbaro
Barbaro did break down during the 2006 Preakness Stakes...at Pimlico, where the Preakness is held, not at Belmont Park. Barbaro never ran a race at Belmont, or in fact at any track further north than Delaware. That's an incomprehensibly astounding mistake for someone to make. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.84.140 (talk) 04:33, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
TV personalities
I think the biographies for Jason Blewitt, Eric Donovan and Andy Serling would be more appropriately placed in separate articles than within this article.Transpoman (talk) 18:56, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Music: Al Di Meola live 1977? Is Belmont Park called Belmont Raceway?
There is a section in the article that states that various popular musical acts have played at Belmont Park. There is a fairly popular album, apparently a bootleg or unofficial release (not listed on Aldimeola.com) of Al Di Meola called "Live at Belmont Raceway (1977)". However there is no use of the word "Raceway" in the Belmont Park article (though "Belmont Park Raceway" redirects to this article, "Belmont Raceway" does not, but rather leads to a Search Results page that ranks "Belmont Park - redirect from Belmont Park Raceway" first). Was this album recorded at Belmont Park? Is Belmont Park popularly called "Belmont Raceway" or was it in the past? If so, it's probably notable.]Tzf (talk) 18:41, 13 January 2013 (UTC)Tzf (talk) 18:43, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
