"I’m in the Mood”

The current wording "'I’m in the Mood', his second R&B number one hit in 1951, on which Hooker performed with an accompanying band and Besman double-tracked Hooker’s vocals and guitar[4]" doesn't seem to follow Unterberger's bio "Besman did plenty of sides with Hooker in the late '40s and early '50s, often solo, but sometimes with accompanying musicians. One of his best ideas was to double-track the voice and guitar for 'I'm in the Mood,' a technique that was very advanced for 1951". "Mood" has overdubbed vocals and second guitar (Hooker's stomps may or may not be overdubbed). Murray writes that there is a second guitarist (Kirkiland) and overdubs, but no mention of other accompanists or "band". Similarly, the liner notes for a 1991 Hooker Modern compilation only mentions Kirkland and the overdubs. Also, if there is already another reliable source, linking Rohnisch is unnecessary (self-published with lots of OR). —Ojorojo (talk) 17:36, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks. I've started drafting an article on that song (amazing that there isn't an article already given that it was an R&B #1!), so as I go I'll tweak this article as necessary. The article as written was my understanding, but if it's not supported by the sources I'll change it (or you can, of course). Just checked - yep, you're quite right. Duly tweaked. "Isick"

Does anyone know why his Findagrave entry here refers to him as Bernard "Isick" Besman? I haven't seen the name Isick mentioned in any reliable sources, and I didn't put it into this article when I started it - although there is a user-generated (and private) family tree at Ancestry,com that refers to Bernard Isaac Besman [sic].
