Brochs

[edit]

There is no evidence of brochs being destroyed to construct the barracks recognising the best preserved brochs are actually closest to the site of the barracks. The extensive killing fields which extend over a km on three sides recognises a considerable amount of stone will have been created and the abundance of stone on the shore will have helped. Noting the considerable amount of local cottages/crofts/farm buildings constructed close to the distroyed brochs if recognised the barracks would not have used this material seeking to use material closer and more readily accessible. 2A00:23C8:87BD:F601:4927:AF99:E3C3:160E (talk) 07:47, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of assumptions there. Seasider53 (talk) 10:02, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
