I'm not sure that the word "birthhouse" exists in English. So far, it has been used in Wikipedia primarily by User:ISasha. --Ghirla -трёп- 06:36, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's unknown to me (we say "birth place" but do not have one word for a specific house of birth, as far as I know). "Birthhouse" sounds to me like a special house for childbirth, a sort of miniature maternity hospital. I wonder if this word was incidentally suggested by "bathhouse", or, possibly, "birdhouse".
