What do the white dots stand for on the map?

on the map for the episode preview?

I believe they stand for the capitols of the wannabee presidents, which the preview stated there were 6 of. They are stars actually. ;) This is what the morse code clues were about. "It begins with 6 and ends with bloodshed." Looks like a 6-way civil war is on the way!

KS probaly stands for Kansas. Probably something big is going to happen in Kansas.

I noticed that if you string the previous episodes morse code together, it says "It begins with 6 and ends with bloodshed". It would seem that the 6 refers to the 6 regional capitals and that a civil war is brewing or is perhaps already underway.

Bleeding Kansas refers to the troubled time period in the Kansas territory before it was admitted as a US State. RockinRob^Talk 04:28, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I've made some updates to the newsboard details based off this screencapture [1] off a larger shot of the board. It also condensed the news items to fit with how they're spaced on the board. Also, I've fixed the name of one of the Senators, since part of the name was covered by railing in many of the shots. --YoungFreud 19:15, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Teh Black Jack

• The episode name BLACK JACK, along with the preview clip featuring a hanged criminal, may be a reference to the 1901 hanging of Tom "Black Jack" Ketchum. His hanging is remembered more than most because his head snapped off due to an inexperienced hang man.

• The biggest Jericho sponsor AT&T has a new smartphone product called "Black Jack", which may be tied the episode title

• While reading the Wikipedia entry on Bleeding Kansas there was an entry about the "Battle of Black Jack" Another parallel between the previous civil war and the upcoming one? I wonder if we will see more of the "Black Jack" trading outpost.CKStark 04:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Tone of article

It may just be me, but the way this is written it looks more like a blog post than an encyclopedia article. There's a lot of speculation in it, rather than just visiting the information presented in the episode. I'd take a shot at rewriting it, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. Don't get me wrong here, there is a lot of good information in it, particularly the news board, but practically the whole article needs to be revised. Anyone wanna take a shot? It was listed as attacked on the map yet the info board says that there were mosque burnings in the city. It looks like the city is still in operation and was not in fact attacked or only marginally damaged by the bomb. On the main Jericho (TV series) page it is listed as likely not attacked at all. The only reason to think it was was that Eric recognised the skyline. As Hawkins' map and the Black Jack map both disagree, I'd say Eric was wrong. -- Chuq 10:45, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Who's the traitor??

I might disagree with Sarah being a traitor. Literally, Hawkins is a traitor to the terrorists' plan. Considering how close they were in 'The Day Before', and his talk with her about taking out 'the old man', it leads me to believe that Sarah and Hawkins were CIA or NSA assigned to infiltrate the plot. I guess that would make Sarah a traitor to the USA and Hawkins. Never mind. Cntrlwiz 00:22, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Seems like if Hawkins were NSA/CIA and he was with the group of people who were all assembled at once to receive their bombs and proceed to their detonation sites that he would have called in the calvary to swoop them all up as they drove off the compound with their weapons. If Hawkins or Sarah were NSA/CIA/FBI they're also probably traitors to that organization as well.--Jwsmiths 22:40, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

This has bothered me for quite some time: If Hawkins is NSA/CIA/FBI, why didn't he/they prevent all/some/any of the attacks? He just ran to Jericho with his bomb and hid. Maybe the moving up of the attack schedule screwed up 'the calvary'. Cntrlwiz 00:31, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

• Can we take the spoilers off the article page that talk about what will happen in the season finale "Why We Fight"? I would've done it myself, but I switched away from the page after reading half the sentence, not looking to spoil it for myself.

• I'm not sure what the protocol is for episode guides, but I can't imagine it's cool to spoil future episodes of a television show in an older episode's article page. Thanks!Mmmtravis 02:17, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
