Election of Senate[edit]

Can someone explain to me how the Bolivian Senate is elected? The TSE website gives two sets of voting figures, one for the Presidency and one for the Chamber of Deputies. Is one of these used to elected the Senators? Also, the proportionality of the Senate election seems irregular. In Chuquisaca, for example, the MAS won all four Senate seats, but the PPB polled 33% of the vote both in the Presidential and Congressional figures. On any proportional system that should have gained the PPB one seat. Can anyone explain this? Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 04:35, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

PPB holds one Chuquisaca seat, see Current members of the Bolivian Plurinational Legislative Assembly#Senate.--Carwil (talk) 15:29, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you are right, I misread the TSE website. But I still don't know which set of figures the Senate is elected from. Do you know? Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 05:07, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
