Oldest co-ed four-year college in Va?

It may be the FIRST co-ed four-year college, but William & Mary, UVa, and several other schools are significantly older! --Stellis 19:03, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it took me a second to work that one out too. Beggarsbanquet (talk) 04:38, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

W&M didn't accept women until 1918 (the only reports I found on it), and UVa accepted them for grad programs in 1920 but not "feely" in Arts and Sciences until 1970!! CLEARLY they are not the oldest CO-educational school in the state. Bridgewater started out Co-ed and has stayed that way ever since. So it is indeed the oldest co-education college in the state. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.234.30.70 (talk) 20:52, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

NPOV concern

Much of this article reads too much like a college brochure or website, going on about how it has "stayed true to its Jeffersonian and Brethren ideals" and how it "educates its students to be productive citizens." I'm going to tag the article for NPOV because I think someone needs to examine it to see if it meets that standard. Beggarsbanquet (talk) 04:38, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I edited down the history section. Edit further if necessary. --ElKevbo (talk) 13:46, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
