2011 comments
[edit]the last issue was probably around '88-'89 - I have photos of the then collective on Mayday '87 and we staggered on for some considerable time after that. Actually, in my time we did take paid advertising - or at least we tried to - and also ran a "send it in we'll publish" policy [excepting other lefty groups with their own papers]. What killed the Voice was the growth of commercial listings magazines in B'ton (viz, the Punter) and the emergence of more apocalyptic anarchist rags such as Brighton Bomber: We tried to keep it going, but ...
