Other BDO tournaments

[edit]

Started article Other BDO tournaments to list the results of the other major BDO tournaments. It will make this article too long if its stays part of this British Darts Organisation article. Seedybob2 12:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bdodartslogo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Bdodartslogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vandalism

[edit]

Unless the Lakeshite championship really happened, think there's some vandals on here. Looks like they're just bored. If it were funny I wouldn't mind. Off to find out how one reports these things to the Head Sperg In Charge.

[assuming my whole ISP isn't fucking banned again]

Is that you Ian? or is it Paddy? Best if you don't use terms like 'sperg' on here. Hey ho Effy Midwinter (talk) 02:55, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Probably out of date information.

[edit]

Consequently, the Board is now made up of Barry Gilbey (chairman), Martin Adams, Derek Weston, Wayne Williams, Sue Getty and Vic Sexton.
I think the above quote might be out of date. I think Sue Williams might be chairman now, although I am not sure how the transition of power happened. As for the others I am unsure how many are still on the board. Mobile mundo (talk) 01:02, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment

[edit]

This page has been extensively vandalised. e.g. who says "The PDC World Championships are now considered the only 'real' World Championship"? The PDC is not drug-tested but the BDO is. Therefore UKSport, WADA etc and all serious sports folk regard BDO as 'real'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.65.171.96 (talk) 16:06, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Any luck? Effy Midwinter (talk) 02:53, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't found the text you refer to, but it looks like the article has now been updated with accurate information regarding the 2020 BDO championship. If current reports are anything to go by, it'll soon be updated with liquidation details too. ShaPhi7 (talk) 22:40, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
