Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... This article is within the scope of WikiProject Hospitals a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of Hospitals on Wikipedia. --Koppertone (talk) 05:11, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

While it may be within the scope of a WikiProject (while there is one for almost everything), the article still doesn't assert its importance. Grammarxxx (What'd I do this time?) 05:19, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Hospitals Hospitals, clinics, and related organizations must comply with the WP:ORG notability standard, which requires, as an absolute minimum that the hospital has been noticed by two unrelated, independent WP:Third-party sources, that at least one source that discusses the organization in-depth (many paragraphs directly about the hospital), and that at least one source that is outside of the organization's local/service area. The following links fulfill that criteria
http://brooksinthenews.com/brooks-doctors-improve-patient-wait-times/
http://brooksinthenews.com/ahs-tailors-ems-plan/

There are also multiple non internet references available.Koppertone (talk) 05:43, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well gee, if it's really this notable, than why are none of these references in the article? Grammarxxx (What'd I do this time?) 06:23, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The article was marked for speedy deletion within 2 minutes of its creation. No further significant edits have been made as I'm sure you understand there is significant effort involved in creating an article and combing theough references when it may be deleted. As such the references have been left in the talk page for moderator review. The references will be incorporated into the article if it is deemed significant. Koppertone (talk) 07:02, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think to survive an A7, all you need is an assertion that this is a notable hospital, which it appears to be, and if we're going to debate whether the sources meet WP:ORG, it needs to be done at Articles for deletion. Otherwise, I look forward to Frimley Park Hospital and William Harvey Hospital tagged as {{db-corp}} in the next five minutes. Grammarxxx, I think this is about the tenth occasion I've seen you made a questionable speedy call. Seriously, stop it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:06, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
