GA Review

A nice episode, and a nice article. Just a few little issues:

  • Homer gets himself a little brother, named Pepe. Homer and Tom fight, and Homer reconciles with Bart, and Tom becomes Pepi's bigger brother - spelling of "Pepe"/"Pepi" should be consistent (what do any official sources say?). Second sentence doesn't read very well with the repetition of "comma and" as a conjunction.
  • The episode aired "on Fox" but King of the Hill is listed as a "FOX program". Consistency.
  • Bart waits for Homer to pick him up, although his father has forgotten - "although" doesn't really make sense; "though" would do fine but "but" would also be okay.
  • The Corey hotline is never explained in the lead or plot synopsis. Anyone who hadn't seen the episode probably wouldn't understand.
  • Should "Big Brothers Day" be "Bigger"?
  • In Production, maybe say that Dondi was a comic strip - worded as it is, he could be a character from any film, TV show, comic seriesor whatever.
  • a writer on Saturday Night Live during the 1985-1986 season - use an endash for the time period.
  • Avoid contractions; "didn't" should be "did not".
  • the tiniest realistic sound, because they believed that it was the most painful and "hilarious", is what they chose - reads very very badly. Just the word "chose" can be added at the very beginning here and everything after the second comma can be omitted so that the sentence reads in a somewhat logical order.
  • The background music used for the fight scene is a knockoff of the music used in the fight scene in The Quiet Man.[4] - whole sentence can probably be moved to "Cultural references". It's underneath, so the Quiet Man connection has already been established. Doesn't really explain anything about the production.
  • We love Homer sitting at home trying to remember to pick up Bart - he's watching a TV show - use an emdash.
  • Image:Brother from the same planet.jpg is not low-resolution as it should be per the fair use criteria - it should be scaled down to not much bigger than it appears in the article.

I'll put this on hold, so you have a week to take care of everything above. Good luck! —97198 (talk) 05:56, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
