Wandered in to figure out myself - songmeanings.net isn't perfect, but it provided this answer (from http://www.songmeanings.net/lyric.php?lid=3530822107858542275&offset=25&page=2#comments ):
"the phrase "bucky done gun" really has nothing to do with guns. it just means like "bucky's already left". my family speaks creole so i guess it's a little [or a lot] easier for me to understand what she's saying."
I don't think "gun" means "gone" in the context, since she is saying that we "want" it. "We want Bucky [has already] gone" really doesn't make much sense. Also M.I.A.'s lyrics are often themed around guns, and this song itself has at least one gun reference - "Muscle in the gun clip". Personally, I think it's a poetic phrase that refers to a young man and his penis ("gun"), reflecting the ambiguity of the verses with both the sexual and typical M.I.A. guerrilla/political themes. The boy needs to "get cracking", i.e. start having sex and get the revolution going ("fire done burn"). And perhaps "Bucky" means he is drunk on "Bucky" (see below). Only M.I.A. knows for sure; hopefully she clears it up in an interview out there that someone can track down. --Blueshifter (talk) 12:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Urban dictionary suggests 'Bucky' could refer to:
  • North Vietnam ("băc")
  • bucket bongs
  • a plastic skeleton sold by Anatomical Chart Company
  • somebody with buckteeth
  • being hyperactive
  • a tall white boy with afro who smokes catnip and loiters
the current (16JAN2009) top rated urban dictionary definition is "Buckfast Tonic Wine", a fortified wine from southern england, from where M.I.A. hails. --Blueshifter (talk) 12:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Forgive my Australian slang, but I know Buckley's on what Bucky means. Kransky (talk) 09:58, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
