Does it exist?[edit]

Using google maps of the Bukena area, I find no evidence of an airport at Wikipedia-page coords (7/46/40 - 27/12/55) or at the coords listed in referenced airport page (7/45 - 27/12).--Spray787 (talk) 19:16, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, in many parts of the world a straight line of no trees constitutes a runway, and a runway constitutes an airport. Bukena would more properly be called an airstrip. Cptmrmcmillan (talk) 23:33, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bukena Airport elevation[edit]

Most published sources have the elevation as 3868 feet MSL, however Google Earth puts the elevation around 2145 feet, a significant difference. The runway is at the edge of the Upemba Depression, which has an average elevation of 1886 feet, backing up the Google Earth value. Other airports in the region have elevations in accord with Google Earth. Cptmrmcmillan (talk) 05:46, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
