Motto/Slogan

[edit]

What is the official motto/slogan of WBUL? People keep changing it, someone needs to get a source and put the right slogan.--_ BaRiMzI _ 14:00, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the logo. The correct slogan is "The Underground." Also, wbul.usf.edu/about.

Fair use rationale for Image:Wbul-1620am-logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Wbul-1620am-logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Page Move

[edit]

The page was moved back to Bulls Radio because the station does not actually use WXBL in its branding. WXBL was created as a placeholder callsign to use while transitioning from 1620 AM only to WMNF HD-2 + 1620 AM. The station identifies itself as "Bulls Radio on WMNF Tampa 88.5 HD-2" and does not use WXBL in IDs. The "WXBL" callsign is not necessary because the 1620 AM falls under FCC Part 15. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.100.23.85 (talk) 06:09, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Radio Station no longer identifies as WBUL and the article needs to be retitled to reflect the name change to Bulls Radio. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.247.176.228 (talk) 22:56, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It still retains the 1620am frequency, however. So, the page move should also preserve 1620 (AM) as a redirect.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.91.37.5 (talkcontribs)

Re-open move?

[edit]

#Move? appears to have been closed with a reason not brought up in the move discussion; there may be information that counters it: Wikipedia:WikiProject Radio Stations#Naming conventions for stations with call signs deals with when "the official call sign should be used". As explained in the prior #Page Move section, this station has never had a callsign; it's a Part 15 (no-license) station that used "WXBL" as fantasy name, and only briefly at that. The real callsign "WXBL" is allocated to the U.S. Coast Guard. (http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/callsign/mainch.pl provides a search. Ships still get K and W callsigns.) There hasn't been a broadcast station with WXBL as a callsign since at least the 1980s; otherwise it would appear in the FCC databases. The only name this subject appears to be using is "Bulls Radio"; if any callsign applies, it would be WMNF, on which this "station" is an HD Radio channel (WMNF HD 2). --Closeapple (talk) 07:30, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
