Problem

[edit]

There is something wrong with the article. $20/sq m of imagery is too expensive, and Rs 2M per year is too little. $20/sq m translates to $20M per square km of imagery. India spending Rs 2M per year will give it 1/400th of a sq km.

Even at $20 per sq km of imagery translates to 2500 sq km of imagery - which is not much... 122.167.90.169 17:45, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article actually mention Rs. 20 million which translates to about $500,000 roughly. at $20/sqm that would come to 25,000 sqm.But yeah that gives about 1/400th of a sqkm. But I am guessing the area which requires imagery with such resolution is pretty small.

Resolution compared to IKONOS

[edit]

The IKONOS wiki article mentions a resolution of 0.8m PAN, 4m MS and 1m PAN-sharpened MS. Why does this article state that IKONOS offers 0.8m MS? Jimgeorge (talk) 18:55, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nationalist Point of View

[edit]

0.8m resolution is sharper than 1.0m- lower is better for this figure of merit. Not only is some editor unqualified to determine spatial resolution performance, but seeking to promote one country's status in violation of Wikipedia practice and policy. The same applies to Indian pricing, often failing to meet generally accepted accounting practice in concealing lines and subsidies- see Mars Orbiter Mission.

I call upon all editors- Indian or not- to reject Hindu nationalism, just like any other strain of nationalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.234.43.155 (talk) 17:05, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
