Cabela's Updates

ARodak (talk) 21:56, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

I am an employee of Cabela's. I was wondering if someone could replace our image logo image with this 250px

Thanks for making the request. I've made the change. Felsic2 (talk) 16:56, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Edit Request

NOTE: I am proposing this edit for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Bass Pro Shops. I am a paid editor and am aware of the COI guidelines. I am submitting this edit request to propose revisions and additions to the article in hopes of making the article more accurate and complete. The edits are as follows in the box:

Extended content
  1. Change the first sentence in the upfront to read, “Cabela’s is a subsidiary of Springfield, Mo.,-based Bass Pro Shops[1]…” (The “Inc.” is dropped to reflect the acquisition by Bass Pro Shops and “main division” is changed to “subsidiary” to more accurately reflect Cabela’s and Bass Pro’s business relationship.)
  2. Add, “In 2017, Cabela’s was acquired by Bass Pro Shops for $4 billion[2]” at the end of the upfront paragraph.
  3. Remove the “Key People” section of the infobox since the leadership has changed now that it is a subsidiary of Bass Pro Shops. Recommend also removing the financial and employee numbers in the infobox as those both fall under Bass Pro Shops now.
  4. In the final paragraph of the “Acquisition by Bass Pro Shops” section, the paragraph uses “merger” twice to refer to the transaction. The two companies did not merge however (BPS acquired Cabela’s), so I would argue to revise the sentence to, “On July 5, 2017, the Federal Trade Commission approved the acquisition of Cabela's by Bass Pro Shops. The acquisition was complete on September 25, 2017.[3]
