[edit]It's nice to see that we have placed the "Cairo-Cape Town Highway" & the "Cape to Cairo Road" in one article. Now, we need to check the information written about "each" of these two routes. We need to see if the information was written "nicely".
So, it is stated that for much of their routes, they use the exact-same routes, with only 3 exceptions (as written under the "original route" subsection).
So, the "Cairo-Cape Town Highway" & the "Cape to Cairo Road" each have their own subsections describing the route.
Now, you'll notice that the notes on the "Cairo-Cape Town Highway" describe the route from North to South while the notes on the "Cape to Cairo Road" describe the route going the other direction. I suggest we find a way to "rewrite" one of them so that both sets of notes describe the route heading the same direction so that confusion is eliminated.
Also, I suggest we check any writing about sections of road that are part of "both routes" (concurrent) & make sure they are spreading the same message. I.e. Can somebody fix the writing about the "Egypt-Sudan Border" & make sure that both routes have the same writing?!
Otherwise, the article looks fine generally. GeographicAccountant (talk) 15:52, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Galagora:
- Hi There. Unfortunately, the "rearranging" that was done was not done properly.
- We were supposed to "rewrite the entire route from North to South" & not to "rearrange the paragraphs".
- The way the article looks currently, you'll notice that you are describing the "Tanzanian section" from "South to North", then the "Zambian section" from "South to North", then the "Zimbabwean section" from "South to North", then the "South African section" from "South to North".
- If we are going to do a "continental explanation" from "North to South", then each individual "national explanation" should also be from "North to South".
- If the route is from "Cairo" to "Cape Town", then we cannot have the first paragraph explaining the "route TO Cairo" (it should be "from") & we can't have the last paragraph explaining the "route FROM Cape Town" (it should be "to"). I hope I have made sense.
- When I have access to a compute soon, I will do the relevant edits. GeographicAccountant (talk) 09:48, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
