I worked up this table, but I can't get it to leave the other infoboxes alone. Can somebody? My data is from Fitzsimmons, Encyclopedia of Twentieth Century Weapons and Warfare (Phoebus, 1978), Volume 5. Trekphiler 19:48, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jane's Fighting Ships of World War II

[edit]
  • Janes says that your Leeds Class was actually the Montgomery Class, and consisted of
  • Caldwell
  • Castleton
  • Chelsea
  • Lancaster
  • Leamington
  • Mansfield
  • Montgomery
  • Richmond
  • Salisbury, and
  • Wells

Additional classes of lend-lease ships in the British navy were the Burnham Class, Newport Class, and Leeds Class.

The actual Leeds Class consisted of

  • Leeds
  • ludlow, and
  • Lewes

BTW, the Town Classes were named for towns and vilages common to both the USA and Britain.
