Notable brands of camera bags

[edit]

This was primarily inspired by Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2022 February 6#Lowepro, a review of the deletion of an obviously notable camera bag brand. I think it desirable to add a list of notable or popular camera bags, primarily sorted by date. SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:54, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I skimmed the first link and didn't see anything. The second link is about small purses roughly sized to hold a point-and-shoot camera. A hatnote could be appropriate if they were mentioned in Handbag#Types. Flatscan (talk) 05:32, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've never owned a camera bag. SmokeyJoe (talk) 07:11, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Manufacturers

[edit]

I'm not sure there are many notable bags vs notable brands and what they brought to the market when created or during their lifetime.

  • Tenba - Created by photographer Robert Weinreb in 1977 who hiked with a backpack containing lenses wrapped in knitted hats. He developed a shoulder bag with built-in camera protection. Company sold to MAC group in 2011.[1]
  • Lowepro - originally a hiking backpack company, in 1972, they "introduce the world's first soft-sided, foam-padded camera bag".
