Merge

[edit]

I have noted (I think) two overlapping articles with inconsistencies. I am primarliy concerned with identifying & removing the inconsitencies. Hence the merge notice. Aatomic1 (talk) 09:17, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why the two should be merged. However, if they are, I think it would be useful to make clear that the original "imperial" CMR (briefly also called "Cape Corps"), the later "colonial" CMR, the World War I Cape Corps (infantry battalions), and the WWII Cape Corps (non-combat auxiliary service), not to mention the 1960s-'90s SA Cape Corps (now 9 SA Infantry), were different units. My original purpose in writing the CMR article was to try and clear up the confusion between the two CMRs. Unfortunately, the South African practice of recycling regimental names tends to lead to such confusion. What are the particular inconsistencies? If they can be listed, they can be investigated and put right. Dirk L (talk) 19:22, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No probs I have removed the merge. I will reread the articles (when the boss is out!) Aatomic1 (talk) 08:05, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
