Engines
[edit]I'll go along with the DB605, but there is a major problem with the FIAT A.30. Firstly it is not a radial - an air-cooled radial to power the compressor is definitely the obvious choice, due to weight and the fact that the cooling air actually improves thermal efficiency (if ducted carefully). What few sources I have seen state 700hp FIAT A.30 radial engine, this is nonsense, apart from having a ridiculously small output, but leaves us with trying to find out what was actually intended. Does anybody have any ideas?, please discuss on my talk page as that will flag up messages automatically.Petebutt (talk) 14:24, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- It's clearly not a radial engine, but a water-cooled inline one: there are several drawings on the Internets showing it.
