Major Towns?

[edit]

I think Horsefly and Likely are hardly major. But within this context Merritt might be. We should either pick some sort of threshold, or include everything. I think the former is more reasonable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.189.235.203 (talk) 19:33, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Layout suggestion

[edit]

As with my comments on the Chilcotin region page, the Cariboo page should probably be laid out along the lines of the US county pages, with geography, etc listed as subsections. Same with other large BC regions - the Kootenay(s), Okanagan, Omineca, "Peace River block" etc. as is already the case with "Lower Mainland".— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.80.121.207 (talk) 10:55, 27 October 2005

Hmmm re plateau aritcle

[edit]

My bad; I thought I['d written taht separately; Interior Plateau does talk about the Cariboo Plateau, and it['s not hte same thing as the Cariboo as a cultural/economic region or either as the goldfields region; this should wind up one day as an FA article if it's done up right; for now it's mostly my own early send-up of some notes about it, and I was the one who made hte Cariboo Plateau redirect which I understand now should be written as a geographic landform article, like a mountain range, as opposed to the region; the region having very different meanings than the pltateau; the original Cariboo goldfields is not in the Cariboo Plateau proper, for instance. I was already pumping to wite the Fraser Plateau article and others missing in the web; I didn't realize this was as well. Put the plateau act back on until I do the break I guess.....~(Black Tusk if you want to meke yourself useful scribee off a new Cariboo Plateau article. It is a basalt landform after all, no? The Interior Plateau article needs revision, now that I've re-read S. Holland - which I'll get hte http: for you in a few minutes.03:37, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Skookum1 (talk)
