Notable alumni section

[edit]

This is standard section name recommended in the school article guidelines. Nothing is gained by using the title 'Notable people', which is vague, when the list consists of only alumni. If there are notable faculty or staff at a later date then a separate section can be added for them. A mixed list leaves the reader to decipher whether a name is alumni, staff, faculty or simply doesn't belong. Gab4gab (talk) 13:04, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It seems straight forward to me to call a list of notable alumni what it is. At the same time, given that the article is very short, it might be best to drop the notable section for now and mention Huey in the lead. Gab4gab (talk) 15:12, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • It should be noted that the essay mentioned above has zero weight. It was proposed as a guideline but failed to gain consensus. It should not be quoted and made to seem official, as if it were wikipedia policy or even established consensus. Even so, in this case, notable alumni is a most reasonable section heading (as is notable people). If there were, however, one notable alumni and one notable staff, it would seem wise to use a notable people heading, rather than fill the article with tiny sections.Jacona (talk) 19:52, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
