Catharine Wood is, without question, one of the leading female audio engineers and producers in the United States. Female engineers and producers make up 2.6% of the music industry's male-dominated population "USC Annenberg" (PDF). and Ms. Wood is an active leader in the Los Angeles music community; speaking annually at the largest music conference in North America, NAMM "Catharine Wood - NAMM Speaker".. She is written about in multiple books, as outlined on her Wikipedia page, as one of the first female audio engineers in the industry.
