Only suspension bridge
[edit]Is this in fact the only bridge of its type in Singapore? The article lead says it is a suspension bridge but by most definitions it is a cable-stayed bridge. Are there other cable-stayed bridges in Singapore? --Una Smith (talk) 23:41, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
National monument of Singapore
[edit]I could not find any source that this bridge is a National monument of Singapore. In was included with this edit by @Banej: without a source. It's not listed at List of national monuments of Singapore, neither here nor by searching here. I'm removing it, but if somebody has a source please add it back (with source). --Fano (talk) 11:46, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
Moved deleted item here
[edit]As mentioned, this statement was here since the first version in 2015. Have searched but unable to find a reliable source. Would be happy to be proven wrong if someone like to confirm.
From the notice above, it was also a "Did you know?" item in dec-2005
Cavenagh bridge was... "It was originally designed as a drawbridge but on its completion was found to be suitable only as a fixed structure."
