Is it true to say that these privately owned cottages are unique in the United Kingdom in that the properties are only accessible via a section of privately owned road (owned by someone else). This factoid may have been on BBC TV's Nationwide programme many years ago. If so, is this worth adding?

Would be unsure if this is unique - unusual certainly, but I strongly suspect that there are similar properties elsewhere in Cornwall (can't give citations, just memories of helping my mum househunt!)DuncanHill 13:56, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The original version from 31 January 2004 (and hence most of the subsequent versions) of this article is virtually identical with this site (which claims "© 2005, 2006 SimplyVisitor.Info", whatever that's worth). I guess the first change that is clearly in Wikipedia, but is not on the other site, is the addition of the Cornish name on 25 February 2005. So unless it's written by the same author, there's a clear copyright violation - could someone try to check on whose part? Thanks, Ibn Battuta 01:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
