What is the etiquette for making a battle article? According to the ISW, since May 7th, Russian forces have been attacking the city directly, from the south. These attacks have been daily with assaults reported on the 8th, 9th and 10th, each repelled. Also, most of this article is slanted towards the city's role in the Russian invasion, and it would help de-slant the article if all the stuff about the war was given its own article. So in short, should we make a separate article for the emerging battle and move all non-necessary Russian invasion content in this article to that article? Scu ba (talk) 03:12, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

- I suggest:
- review the content under Russo-Ukrainian_War and subordinate sections, specifically Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine
- Identify similar articles as your model.
- move the 2022 war-related content to a new article.
- add a "see also" link from the existing ЧЯр article to your new article.
- It would not hurt to harmonize your new article, the existing ЧЯр article, and the other existing Chasiv_Yar_missile_strike article, which also has a bit of the town's history.
- Ensure your new article is included in the Russo-Ukrainian War "outline." Now, this seems to start in yet another RU article Russo-Ukrainian_War. This article is currently "protected so that only extended confirmed users and administrators can edit it." This article's source page (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Russo-Ukrainian_War&action=edit has a button via which you can request a simple edit to be made, which would be the additiona of your newly crafted ЧЯр article to the war outline.

The name Часів Яр translates as "Times Ravine." Normally, this sort of "origin info" is part of "place articles," so it should be discussed. 77th Trombone (talk) 00:18, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
Shortly after the Special Military Operation (SMO) by Russia western influencies edited the pages of Chasiv Yar to make the cultural and political differences more pronounced and important than they ever were. They continued to report on microevents that have no actual historical signifigance as part of their overemphasis on the conflict between NATO and Russia occuring in territories Russia Annexed, deeming it an invasion rather than an annexation. At the same time they underemphasized the Ukrainian and Jewish cultural elements more heavily supported by the NATO coup being the legitimate government even though free and fair elections havn't occured since the Maidan coup ousted the elected president of Ukraine with western financing and an ultimatum from France, Germany and Poland for the Lawful President of Ukraine to leave office. This propaganda has only gotten worse and worse since 2014 as people feel that Chasiv Yar will have some propaganda use as they prepare to say all the bad things Russia has done while completely ignoring the fact Ukraine has had Chasiv Yar as a military controlled zone for the last 10 years.
