The Chatterer's Lament

[edit]

This was a small "autobiography" included on the back of the assembly instructions of SCREAMIN's Chatterer model kit released in the early '90's as a synopsis of the short story called "Look, see". It was authored by Chatterer actor Nicholas Vince and can be read in it's entirety from it's first appearance in FEAR # 7, 1989.

Chatterer

[edit]

Just as a side-note for those who are interested, the reason for the "aesthetic modifications" to his facial mutilations was so that the actor, Nicholas Vince, could actually SEE. (Yes, that DOES mean that in the first movie, he was literally acting blind.) Vince himself talked about this in an interview about the Hellraiser movies. 67.61.121.158 (talk) 19:45, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite and Expansion

[edit]

This article is poorly written and undersourced, and needs significant attention. The article has many sections which are poorly written and unsourced and should be rewritten and given proper citations for its information. The article is also missing important information on the character's concept and creation which needs to be added to the article with the proper citations for its information. Other information such as the character's personality, reception, and appearances/references in popular culture should be added to the article as well. All of these changes and additions need to occur in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 00:02, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I plan to work on it eventually, but it'll probably take a while before I get around to it. There are some sources at User:NinjaRobotPirate/sandbox if anyone is interested. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:48, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The order of things needs to be rearranged so that the appearances section is first followed by Concept and Creation section then appearances and references in popular culture. The appearances section should be split into two sub-sections on the character's appearances in literature and film (each appearance should be reasonably brief). The reception section can be incorporated into the concept and creation section.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:21, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Since I bought the recently released graphic novel Hellraiser Anthology Vol. 2, I went ahead and added his new origin story. I hope that helps. DarkKnight2149 14:49, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
