I removed it because it should not go in the English Wikipedia.--AAAAA 01:42, 14 May 2005 (UTC)
Wikipedia needs to have far more articles on the Indian tribes of Colombia. Gringo300 19:47, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Chibcha or Muisca?
[edit]This artícle needs references and some clean up. There is confusion in the meaning of the word Muisca, which in Colombia is used by the Muiscas themselves to describe their people, and the word Chibcha which they use to describe the language. Besides, there is no evidence of that the caciques exercised "strict personal control" over their people. The Muisca rulers (The Zipa and The Zaque) were highly revered, but their control was very subtle, they didn't exercise a tight control over those who they ruled.--tequendamia 22:23, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Also, when using the word Chibcha as "the peoples", it must be realized that it includes peoples that inhabited Central America as well. The Muisca are just one of the Chibchan nations, the one that inhabited the Colombian Altiplano.--tequendamia 22:32, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
