Article Is Rubbish
[edit]This article needs some serious work. It's blatantly fan written, reads like a biography from a fan site. The whole thing needs to be re-formatted and wikified, the excessive blue/red links need to be removed. It also has a lot of bias - eg. saying that Red Hot Chili Peppers fans "were less than understanding towards the Chicks' art-punk attitudes" isn't exactly NPOV is it? ;) Modulus86 11:12, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
My rewrite
[edit]I've rewritten the article, I hope it's better, I love Chicks On Speed! One of the links contains the site where the original information was completely copied from. User:Statementofintent 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Nice one, the article is much much better now, looks much more like an encylcopedia article! Well done people! Modulus86 14:57, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Name derivation
[edit]I don't have a source for this, and don't care about the band, so I leave it to one of the fans who've been editing the page to go dig it up. The group's name very probably was inspired by the 1990 Chicks & Speed: Futurism EP by Lead Into Gold (solo side project of Paul Barker of Ministry). — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō)ˀ Contribs. 08:24, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
