Much of this article can be simplified into the sidebar with general comparisons of city information. Things that should be added, though, are:
- Infrastructure / information about transportation and public services.
- History is a very important aspect of Chillicothe and must be described here in detail.
- Subdivisions of history by century, by example, would better organize the information.
- Landmarks, sports, performing arts, media, and economy should be described.

- I think it would be best/fair to all if the article fully discussed the fact that Camp Sherman was built on the Site of the Hopewell Culture National Park and that most of the burial mounds were destroyed during that period and later "reconstructed" as we see today. Terrible choice by government! Mike Sharp 07-03-07
- Is this text in the first para vandalism? "It is one of the smelliest cities in all of Ohio; only Circleville and Waverly have a worse odor." Egavactip (talk) 02:32, 23 May 2015 (UTC)egavactip, may 22, 2015
History
I've noticed that User:Iepeulas had posted a copyright violation template under the history section of the Chillicothe, Ohio article. So what's going on here with this?---OHWiki 04:57, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- It appears that the section of Chillicothe history was copied nearly word for word from a history written by Pat Medert and put onto the Wikipedia page for Chillicothe on Oct 1, 2004. Even though it was referenced, Wikipedia (and evidently the copyright laws) prohibit doing this without either the author agreeing to release the text under a license that will allow it to be published freely (the GNU Free Document License) or a similar license. Unless Pat Medert does this, the text will be removed by the Wikipedia admins until this authorization is provided. I guess someone may want to contact Pat and see if this is possible...? - That dummy, they did copy all of this history information from another website, what the heck were they thanking. This is going back three years ago when the history information was inserted.---OHWiki 17:30, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's obvious when the copyvio text was added. Why can't we just delete it and forget about waiting for an administrator? Nyttend 12:44, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, all done!---OHWiki 21:54, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- I restored the information on history prior to October 1, 2004.---OHWiki 21:59, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama
I think the article should mention the Tecumseh! outdoor drama that is put on near Chillicothe every summer - they've been doing it every year since 1973 so it's kind of a big deal. Oldiesmann (talk) 06:08, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Shawnee past
Why is there no word in this strange article about Chillicothe's amerindian 'Shawnee' past? Where is pride in a long history of amerindian settlement here at Chillicothe? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.229.54.62 (talk) 22:24, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Fredrick Law Olmstead?
What evidence exists that shows he is a Chillicothe native. He was born and spent most of his years in Conneticut. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Enduradventurer (talk • contribs) 05:16, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Picture
The current picture (The one with a forest with small buildings in the background) Does not represent our community well, and I have been changing it for a few days now, but it keeps being changed back. The picture of the forest with small buildings makes Chillicothe seen like a "hick" city in the middle of the woods, when it is not. The image (MainStreet_Chillicothe.png) that I am trying to place there accurately represents our city with beauty, and shows our downtown in a very pleasant night scene. Please, stop changing it, I want wikipedia to represent our city well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.190.60.164 (talk) 01:35, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- However, there is no evidence that this picture has any permission to be on Wikipedia, let alone permission to be used in any other circumstances. Moreover, this field is for a skyline image; while it's appropriate to have a street-level shot for places where a skyline isn't possible, it's best to have a skyline image when locations such as Grandview Cemetery make such a shot possible. Nyttend (talk) 01:40, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
This image has the right to be on wikipedia, as I took the shot for it to be placed here. But if you would like for the world representation of our city to be represented by a forest, go ahead. I won't bother anymore. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.190.60.164 (talk) 01:47, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
