CHINCHON This card game in Spain has always been called Chinchón. Whoever has written this article has got it wrong or his a Basque nationalist using Wikipedia to lie. The Basque language, being very old, never had a written expression. Modern Basque language is an invention of the Basque nationalists, making an artificial mix of the dialects spoken in the different valleys of the region. Basque is a pre-indoeuropean language as Finnish, Hungarian or Estonian and Spanish is a Latin language. But the pronounciation of both languages is exactly the same. Therefore, to make it different the Basque nationalists had to invent a new writing and changed the spelling of different sounds. I.e. whatever is written in Spanish CH was canged into TX as they did with V (=B), QU- (=K), GU- (=G) etc. As they didn't have their own name for Chinchón they just incorporated the word with the invented Basque spelling, therefore txinton. To call it this way is to lie to any reader of this article as this card name has never been called txinton.
