Re:Edible[edit]

They are not edible per say, I suppose one could eat them without bodily harm though.

On the above "They are not edible per say" you mean "per se."

Actually, they are edible but local government, in its efforts to prevent everyone from going there to eat them, has advertised that these are not edible. Many locals actually eat them and red crabs are reportedly delicious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.118.162.187 (talk) 18:35, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

Why would the government want to prevent them from being eaten it seems as though they are overpopulated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.169.10.90 (talk) 00:22, 2 December 2013 (UTC)

Not even cats or dogs as predators? Dogs eat just about anything.Pbrower2a (talk) 04:53, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Edible[edit]

Are they edible?

Inquiring stomachs want to know.

Crazy ants[edit]

Why isn't there a part about the yellow crazy ants? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_crazy_ant

Because this article is on Cristmas Island red crabs, not yellow crazy ants. That's what the article on yellow crazy ants is for. --Sik2thestomach 02:24, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Conservation[edit]

So are there ANY up to date sites about red crab conservation?(Fossilgojira (talk) 01:17, 25 May 2008 (UTC))
