This could really use some information on how this was constructed! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.162.7.207 (talk) 06:37, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No one knows for sure how it was constructed -- that's the problem. ;-) llywrch (talk) 21:13, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I want to know how drainage works. Why doesn't that trench fill up with water? Gnebulon (talk) 16:16, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, the unesco link that's already on this page has some information about drainage. Maybe I'll bring some of that information to this page. Gnebulon (talk) 16:40, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

In the History section, the passage beginning "The churches at Lalibela are clustered..." appears verbatim on several websites, eg. here, although it's not clear which is the original. A part of that passage has been placed in quotation marks, suggesting that this article isn't the original. The quotation marks may mean that it was perhaps intended as a cited quotation, but no source is indicated. Another part of the passage ("The dimensions of the trench...") are outside the quotation marks, yet also appear on other websites, which may mean that other passages could also be copypasted, but I haven't checked the whole article.
