Heterosexuality

[edit]

Question: has it ever been addressed, the possibility that someone could be "cissexual", but also non-hetereosexual? Because "hetereosexual" does not seem to have the same definition as "cissexual", but "cissexual" does address sexual identity. I'm just wondering if it also includes sexual orientation. E.g. if it is possible for say, a physically female individual who also identifies as cissexually female, to be homosexual or bisexual. Or would that be more of a case of a non-hetero cisgender individual?

I can still see how "cissexual" would be useful even if it included orientation (because there's a difference between being attracted to the opposite sex, and feeling that one's mental sex is the same as their physical sex), but I'm just curious whether it inherently does or not. I only ever see the term used in contrast with transsexual, so orientation isn't usually addressed in the same contexts. 68.202.85.105 (talk) 05:58, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since you deleted my comment on the relevance of this topic, then I'll make my intent very plain and simple: I move to delete this page. 204.65.0.24 (talk) 20:06, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article easily passes the general notability guideline. - SummerPhD (talk) 02:31, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
