Deputy Mayor's car accident

[edit]

It is just an accident. The guy is an independent. He is a developer. It might be the biggest mistake of his life in a $half million car, or the start of a pattern. Here is a news article on it. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/brakes-put-on-spinning-ferrari-driver/story-e6freuy9-1226501651818 DDB (talk) 06:14, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Separate page for the Local Government Area

[edit]

As per discussion at Talk:List of Sydney suburbs, I have created a separate page for Auburn Council, the Local Government Area. -- Ianblair23 05:34, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Should this perhaps be called Municipality of Auburn? Auburn council is the local government, not the local government area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.76.24 (talk) 14:10, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Auburn is now a City

[edit]

The article will need to be updated and renamed. Not sure who is happy to have a crack at this. Mustard Pot (talk) 06:55, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article on Selim Mehajer has been deleted?

[edit]

Hi all, it appears that an admin has deleted the article on Selim Mehajer and created a new redirect back to City of Auburn#History. I have noted this seems very much out of process on WP:AN/I, but I thought I'd register a complaint here. Selim is very much a public figure in Australia, and it is quite unfortunate that no article exists about him on Wikipedia because whenever you look for a summary of who he is and what he has done no neutral or well sourced article can be found.

At the very least, I would expect that if he isn't a notable figure then it should be discussed on WP:AFD before the article is summarily deleted. If there are any other people who agree with me, please feel free to respond to this comment because at the very least I would appreciate more transparency around admin decision making than has occured here. - Letsbefiends (talk) 22:14, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was actually taken to AfD and speedy deleted here. Given the massive, sustained amounts of coverage he's received since then, I'd support an article. Frickeg (talk) 03:06, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
