2008 ICAC Investigation and outcomes[edit]

The table re ICAC charges, etc. shows a number of individuals where charges were laid, but were later dismissed or found not guilty; whilst others were convicted. This is a good summary article that provides an overview of all outcomes. Where the charges were dismissed or they were found not guilty, I proposed deletion of the following under WP:BLPCRIME:

  1. Beth Morgan: Insufficient evidence to prosecute and the window of opportunity for prosecuting her for making false statements to the ICAC has passed. Propose: remove from table. Her personal involvement in the development scandal is already implied in text.
  2. John Gilbert: ICAC made a corrupt conduct finding against him but did not recommend the DPP investigate possible prosecution]. Propose: remove from table.
  3. Rod Oxley: ICAC made a corrupt conduct finding against him but did not recommend the DPP investigate possible prosecution]. Propose: remove from table.
  4. Joe Scimone: No charges laid due to insufficient evidence. Propose: remove from table.
  5. Valerio Zanotto: No charges laid due to insufficient evidence. Propose: remove from table.
  6. Kiril Jonovski: He was found not guilty of one count of furnishing false/misleading information and two counts of giving false/misleading evidence to ICAC. Propose: remove from table.
  7. Zeki Esen: A court found him not guilty of furnishing false/misleading information and two counts of giving false/misleading evidence to ICAC. Propose: remove from table.

This will leave:

  1. Frank Vellar: Convicted of four offences related to lying to ICAC], and received a corrections order and non-custodial sentences
  2. Bulent Tabak: Found guilty of wilfully making a false statement to ICAC. Two-year good behaviour bond and $2500 fine. On appeal, conviction and sentence upheld.
  3. Frank Gigliotti: He was found guilty of two counts of giving false or misleading evidence to ICAC. He served four months in prison.

On other matters, there will improved referencing to bring the article up to date, now that the DPP has finalised all matters. Feedback is welcome. Rangasyd (talk) 05:03, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

These all seem like reasonable changes to me (Don't really need to propose it, just remove it and if anyone complains then we can discuss here). Orderinchaos 11:35, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
