Potential source for adding history of lake

[edit]

In case anyone is thinking of adding details on the history of the lake, this source may be helpful.

  • Benson, G.T. (February 1965). "The Age of Clear Lake" (PDF). The Ore Bin. Vol. 27, no. 2. Department of Geology and Mineral Industries, State of Oregon. p. 40. ISSN 0148-1827. Retrieved 31 March 2019.

The PDF version that you can download appears to give a lot of detail on the formation of the lake and geology of the area. Desertborn (talk) 14:04, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note from another reader who DOES NOT RECOMMEND using this article: Article talks about a future lunar base, NASA now admits they never went to the moon. Article states volcano created the lake. US Forest Service website says it is man-made reservoir. Disturbing that you can't even get the truth on Wikipedia

Clear Lake Oregon

[edit]

Why does it say lake was formed by a volcano? The US Fkrext Service Mt Hood website states Clear Lake is not a natural lake it is a reservoir which I'm assuming means man-made. That's either a pretty serious error or a deception, either way it's disturbing. It took me 5 minutes to find the correct information. People come to Wikipedia to get accurate information. I'm starting to wonder how accurate it is 2601:1C1:8A01:B310:6552:BFB0:C9B7:8F25 (talk) 13:08, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

....and a guide takes you around and tells you a volcano made it, but the federal government website says it's a reservoir???? I'm confused is it man made or not?! One more reason I don't trust the government or the history books anymore 2601:1C1:8A01:B310:6552:BFB0:C9B7:8F25 (talk) 13:17, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
