Image nominated for speedy deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:UK government ministers - August 1920 - Punch cartoon - Project Gutenberg eText 16707.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:UK government ministers - August 1920 - Punch cartoon - Project Gutenberg eText 16707.png)

Scope of article.[edit]

My first impression is that this article is primarily focussed on inter-city coach transport and barely hints at the thousands of vehicles used mainly on holiday, excursion, private hire and school work. Would any of the long-standing contributing editors care to comment? Astronomy Explained (talk) 12:02, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Would be great to widen the scope of this (and I was one of the earlier contributors). Let's not loose the intercity element, but certainly worth adding the other aspects you mention. PeterEastern (talk) 16:57, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have some archive material for a couple of Lancashire-based companies. Give me a few days to dig it out and I'll make a start at adding some of the history and current range of those other types of work. That may then encourage other editors to add material that they have access to or knowledge of. Astronomy Explained (talk) 11:10, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly What Is Wrong With Wikipedia[edit]

This article is typical. Basically, it is about those with a passion for buses and coaches wishing to delete anything which suggests (however supported and true) that coach travel is not well liked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.166.133.42 (talk) 12:38, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
