Zanuck

[edit]

Can more information be added regarding Zanuck's resistance to the sequel being made? 70.107.142.19 16:42, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The novel "Cocoon" by David Saperstein is the novelization of the movie "Cocoon", and there is a sequel to the novel "Cocoon" called "Metamorphosis", also by Saperstein. Is this the novelization of the movie "Cocoon: The Return", or is it quite unrelated, and a different sequel story?

It would be good to be able to put this information into the article. M.J.E. (talk) 16:31, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's the other way around -- Saperstein's novel was the source of the movie. According to Amazon[1]: "David Saperstein is the author of...the novel Cocoon, a New York Times Bestseller and Academy Award-winning film..... His novels include Metamorphosis: The Cocoon Story Continues and Butterfly: Tomorrow's Children (books II and III of the Cocoon Trilogy.... His novel Dark Again was the first full novel available via the Internet."

This last factoid makes Saperstein worthy of a Wikipedia entry! Graywriter (talk) 13:33, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
