Discussion[edit]

Why does he have a page? What has he done? Nothing. This page should be merged with his father's page.MgHoneyBee 00:41, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He wrestles for OVW, that's a start. Look at all the wrestling pages here, many people haven't done much (lots of OVW wrestlers for example), it doesn't mean that they don't deserve a page. Cody is the son of Dusty, but that doesn't mean he should be merged into that until he does something meaningful. RobJ1981 03:34, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, the only reason he's wrestling for OVW is because of his father working for the WWE. Second, just because other people (who have wrestled longer and have relationship with another wrestler) have pages doesn't mean they need pages either. I saying he's only been wrestling for a short time and he hasn't been on t.v. He hasn't done anything worth having a page. And what wretlers are you talking about? You were probably one of those people who thought that Linda and Nick Bollea needed pages, right?Whatever.MgHoneyBee 00:23, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, it's ok for you to create a seperate page for Diana Hart, but Cody Runnels can't have his own page? Heck, Vickie Guerrero has her own page, and yet, according to you, Cody shouldn't. Good grief. Cody is no less notable than either Diana or Vickie. James Duggan 00:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's your opinion. That's great. but Cody hasn't been on TV (WWE) like Diana and Vickie. They have done things inside of wrestling as well as outside of wrestling. Cody has done nothing. I just stated my opinion. And yes it's okay for anyone to creat a page for people that other people think are not worthy. That's why we can edit at WP! DUH!!! And Diana and Vickie are both part of larger wrestling families that people want to know about. MgHoneyBee 22:07, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He's freaking one-half Tag Team Champion. The page stays. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.48.173.79 (talk) 03:26, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This conversation started in September...Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:59, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While this is true, the last comment before my previous one wasn't too long ago. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.48.173.79 (talk) 05:52, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A year and three months isn't long in wrestling? Wowzer. Tony2Times (talk) 17:28, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dustin's half-brother?[edit]

How can he be Dustin's half brother is they have the same dad? Sweet Diva 04:26, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dusty got 2 women pregnant duh!

Who's Cody's mother? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.72.233.105 (talk) 06:03, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

Runnels[edit]

A vandal changed his name to Runnels and i cant change it so will someone?BlueShrek 20:19, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Runnels is his real last name.71.180.38.164 04:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Runnels and Rhodes[edit]

I think Cody Rhodes and Cody Runnels should both be in bulk because in WWE he uses Cofy Rhodes but in OVW he still uses Cody Rhodes. BIGCANDICEFAN 02:50, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Change the article name to Rhodes?[edit]

Dustin's page has finally been properly re-named, so shouldn't Cody's? —Preceding unsigned comment added by BBoy (talkcontribs) 04:36, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Why don't you request a move? I will support it. TJ Spyke 03:26, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Holly and Rhodes[edit]

I know that Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes have had a few tag matches out of respect as well single matches, but a lot of superstars team together and I don't think they are an offical tag team please comment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.240.147.217 (talk) 01:03, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They actually competed in a match for the Tag Team titles. I think that's more than enough qualification. The same can be said of Yang and Moore (or rather a match for a shot at them. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 01:50, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know I said the same about Moore and Yang also they're are definitely not a tyag team if I;m right and if my memory serves correctly they only had one tag match together. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.240.147.41 (talk) 23:08, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wrestling Attire[edit]

Good chance this will get ignored, I know what Wiki users are like and yes I'm not a registered user BLAH BLAH get over it.

My point is on his wrestling gear,at least on the last time he appeared on RAW, he had small Triforce symbols on his boots. This could be a direct reference to the video game series Legend of Zelda. The reason I add this here is because as soon as I edit the main page it would be deleted. I may as well add it here so one of you all,if you so wish, can take credit for adding it in like you did with the Viscera King of the Ring title.

Yeah i noticed that.I thought i was the only one who thoght that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.5.74.105 (talk) 12:48, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok in the latest edition of wwe magazine he does admit that it is the triforce. So guess wat where not idiots! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.5.74.105 (talk) 12:07, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tag Title reigns[edit]

is he actually a 2 time champion, as he never lost the match he switched partners... Skitzo (talk) 20:14, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WWE lists it as two separate reigns. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 20:16, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
well that settles it then lol, it was just something that occurred to me. Skitzo (talk) 07:37, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Last name[edit]

His real name is Rhodes males always keep their fathers last time never their mothers Supermike (talk) 10:32 September 7,2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.111.110.217 (talk) 01:12, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dusty Rhodes real name is "Virgil Riley Runnels, Jr". ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 19:15, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Finisher[edit]

His DDT is named Silver Spoon DDT. Look at http://www.wwekids.com/superstars/codyrhodes/. In the interview, he lists his finisher as Silver Spoon DDT. Pavlen (talk) 17:08, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've added it since you provided the source. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 17:29, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

change of title name[edit]

ive put in a priceless section, and i have done the same in ted dibiase jr a manu Kalajan (talk) 15:05, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why? They've never been announced to the ring as "Priceless". It's always been "Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes". I'm changing it back per that reason. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 15:07, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now I've changed to The Legacy, its official Kalajan (talk) 15:10, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah! I was going to start up my own discussion on this topic but it seems its already started. I have had the same dispute war with NiciVampire. She seems dead set upon not having the name of the stable in the article despite the fact that I have sourced this in the past. Simply having the name of the stable is more appropriate as it is a shorter, simpler name than all the names of the wrestlers. I have no idea why the editor remains so stubborn in her editing style in relation to this edit. Cheers dude (talk) 09:32, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Per my reason above. They've never been announced to the ring as "Priceless". It's always been "Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes" or vice versa. Also, might I suggest that you talk to me on my talk page if you have a problem with my editing style? ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 09:41, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're right! I haven't heard Lilian Garcia introduce this team as 'Priceless' upon their arrival. However, I have heard the announcer's refer to the team as Priceless numerous times. Also, at the Slammy Awards, when they were announcing each team, they referred to them as Priceless. Thoughts? Cheers dude (talk) 09:48, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(ec)And another thing. "wrestlinginc" is not a reliable source, and I have removed it, and the info it was sourcing accordingly. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 09:50, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would be more inclined to go with what they are announced as, rather than what the announcers call them. It would be, to me, more official. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 09:51, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NiciVampire, your behavior has been erratic and stubborn in regards to this edit. You've already gone and put in sources for the edit that made you happy [1], yet you again revert the information a couple minutes later [2] per your remark that you think the announcer's comment is more official without finishing this discussion. Right now 2 editors disagree with you -- really three as that edit was originally Priceless until you came and reverted it to having all the names a couple weeks back. Having a bunch of names in there looks sloppy. Priceless and Legacy is much less sloppy. The WWE commentators have called this Team Priceless several times as well as the Slammy Award announcement last week. Cheers dude (talk) 10:05, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That edit to me adding in sources was for them winning the tag team championships. It has nothing to do with the name of the tag team. I fail to see how my editing has been erratic. I repeat "wrestlinginc" is not a reliable source. It will be removed. I will not revert you again, because I will violate WP:3RR. However, if I reverted your edits without finishsing this discussion then so did you. Please don't be hypocritical. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 10:09, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As three people have already inserted this edit into the article and you've been the only one reverting, I'd say you are in the minority. If you'd like, you can initiate a voting process for a consensus to be reached on this issue, but I think it would be much ado over nothing and I doubt anyone would agree to having five wrestler's names (last names included with Randy Orton) as part of the title of a section. Either that or you could always add a [citation needed] noting that you feel the information should be sourced. Cheers dude (talk) 10:18, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She's not in the minority, this is just not a high traffic page and a lot of WP:PW members hate these kind of back and forths. They have no "official" tag team name, they are Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. You have no reliable sources which say otherwise. I suggest you all assume good faith and listen to Nici's points, Wikipedia is not a democracy, a hundred editors could be changing it to Priceless and Nic would still be right to change it back. Darrenhusted (talk) 10:23, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Darrenhusted, it's ok if you disagree over an edit but I highly suggest you learn to do so civilly. With regards to this edit you made [3] after commenting here on this talk page, you might want to check out WP:civil. Encouraging users to 'Strangle editors' and 'f-n' is totally uncalled-for and incivil. Cheers dude (talk) 11:01, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't encourage anyone to strangle anyone, I expressed surprise that Nici had held her cool, and in a humourous way, but then you seem to be less concerned with reading comments than editing them. The WWE on its title history page don't call Rhodes and Dibiase [4] [5] "Priceless" so until it is announced at, I don't know, any WWE event, then there is not a reliable source. Even on the Slammy page their names are listed as an explanation. Darrenhusted (talk) 11:14, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think Darren encouraged me to strangle anyone. He seemed to me, to more be suprised that I hadn't strangled anyone, rather than telling me to strangle them. It still also stands that you have not provided a reliable source to back up your end of the argument. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 11:31, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers Dude, please read WP:NOTVOTE. You can't simply reason "it should be this way because that's how more people want it to be", especially if it goes against set WP policies. And to reiterate, they have not been introduced as Priceless or the Legacy at any event. They are consistently referenced individually. Look at Brian Kendrick and Paul London. Supposedly they were introduced at house shows as the Hooligans. They even had that written on their ring attire at one point. Yet they were never introduced as such on WWE TV.  Hazardous Matt  13:17, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay listen, the whole article should be made "The Legacy" as on www.wwe.com you can find the name almost anywhere, and the alliance with dibiase and manu is all part of the same storyline, ¿You hear? Kalajan 14:56, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request Attention[edit]

Someone wrote that the team, whatever it is called, faced Batista and WWE Champion John Cena that is wrong. I don't know why I cannot edit this page so for someone that can, can you please say the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena not WWE Champion. The WWE Champion is Jeff Hardy.

Plz

 Done Thanks for pointing that out. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 13:21, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Entrance themes[edit]

Does he still use priceless as an entrance theme although he's in The Legacy?  Kalajan  22:38, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. He used it on Raw this last week. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 10:16, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay.  Kalajan  14:48, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Finisher[edit]

On Raw, Jerry Lawler pointed out twice that the Rolling Cutter Rhodes uses is called "21 and O" or something like that. --Pavlen (talk) 16:15, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
