Rather than individual chapters being listed, shouldn't it be more about the state federations, and from there drill down into the chapter Web sites. Just a thought. 15:04, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Category:College Democrats[edit]

I created this category for articles about people who were in College Democrats during college. I don't know enough about the organization to go around tagging former members, but hopefully someone will. --RedShiftPA (talk) 16:59, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The [[Category:College Democrats]] needs to be populated, but I can't find many articles about people who had been members of CDA while they were in college. Among those who are linked to College Democrats of America are Barbara Ann Radnofsky and Arianna Huffington, neither of whom were College Democrats in college. Anyone have a decent list of former members? I suspect that many in congress were members--but have to way of finding this out.--RedShiftPA (talk) 07:00, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CDA Caucuses[edit]

Within the next couple of weeks, I am going to begin sandboxing an addition to this page with information about all of the CDA caucuses. If you have any pertinent information you would like to add or other suggestions for additions to this page, please hit me up on my talk page. Israel–Palestine conflict section?[edit]

I'm not sure why this section about the Israel–Palestine conflict needs to be in the article, although I'm willing to be persuaded. Let's have a discussion about it here. wia (talk) 12:44, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Why wouldn't the part of the article with the best sourcing be the part we remove? It is relevant information about the organization. The rest of the article needs work, that part is good. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Collegeisreallycool (talkcontribs) 22:08, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's got sources, true, but I wonder whether the citations meet the criteria set out at WP:NEWSORG? I don't deal with this sort of thing too often, so I freely admit that this concern may be unfounded, but nonetheless I'll state it here for posterity. wia (talk) 03:48, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest that those wishing to include this read WP:BLP policy - the sourcing looks questionable given the claims being made. AndyTheGrump (talk) 17:12, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Having looked into this further, I have no doubt that WP:BLP policy (along with WP:NPOV) is being violated by the addition of such dubiously-sourced content. I have reverted the latest restoration of this material, and if it is restored again without a clear consensus - and without citing sources which accurately support the claim that this incident was 'widely covered' - I will report the matter, and may ask for sanctions to be taken. Wikipedia takes its biogrophies of living persons policy seriously, and does not tolerate articles being used as coatracks for partisan sniping about what individuals did or didn't post on Facebook. AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:40, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@AndyTheGrump: A heads-up: the content was re-added a few days ago to College Democrats of America. I've since reverted it. Thanks, /wia /tlk 15:50, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, obviously, that some of the sources used are "dubious" but I think they can speak to statements of fact. I've added a few additional ones (including a left-wing one reporting on the same incident). Regardless, the primary points here are sourced to the Daily Caller (which, despite partisan bias has clear editorial oversight) and USA Today, which is mainstream by any standard. I think this should solve this problem. Collegeisreallycool (talk) 13:35, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
