Colorado Intercollegiate Athletic Association name
[edit]2016 CU Media Guide says "There were no organized leagues in the Rocky Mountain region when CU started playing football in 1890. In 1893, Colorado was a charter member of the Colorado Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA; also known as the Colorado Football Association), joined by Denver, Colorado College, Colorado Mines and Colorado A & M. CU remained a member through 1908 (except 1905, when it withdrew from the state conference prior to the season)."
I'm guessing we need to alter the lead to reference CIAA and year, or similar. We generally go by the current/final name of the conference, but reference earlier and alt names to avoid confusion. UW Dawgs (talk) 19:06, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
