(re-)find the bibliographical info for that retrospective "best of" book of the postcards; inter-war era, 1920s? Lx 121 (talk) 08:11, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

find images of more cards Lx 121 (talk) 23:37, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article as it stands is grossly over-illustrated, no more cards pictures are necessary. Encyclopedia-wise, there should only be only depiction of the one style of card backing in the whole article, and there should be considerably less of the various card fronts. A general sampling of these is all that is needed, not every one that can be found on-line. Also, images must be uploaded for use in Wikipedia articles, off-sight links for pictures embedded in the article are not allowed. Hope this helps. re: "over-illustrated" - see my comments below. hope this helps.

if that is insufficient, i can provide multiple examples of other "grossly over-illustrated" wikipedia articles for you to "correct". Lx 121 (talk) 13:34, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ADDITIONALLY this item https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gazette_de_l%27Ecole_des_Beaux-Arts.Octobre,_Novembre,_Decembre_1918.a_partir_du_1er_janvier_1919.pdf is NOT an "offsite link".

re: "greatly over-illustrated"

[edit]

as per the edit comments of a certain user.

the subject of the article is an organisation of ART STUDENTS

which created art postcards

to fundraise for their WW1 CHARITY.

& the artworks created by the organisation are a NOTABLE part of the history.

AND many of the artworks were created by NOTABLE ARTISTS.

additionally, many of the works are NOTABLE as documents of their place & time (france in ww1)

all of which is WHY the organisation is notable enough to merit an article, as part of the HISTORY OF WW1

and

relations between France & the USA

and

ART HISTORY 1910-1920.

so,

how exactly would the user who objects to the article as "over-illustrated", suggest that we COVER this subject?

(also worth noting the objecting editor appears to have no particular expertise or interest in ww1, or art history)

I have responded at your talk page. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 15:27, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

yes? & your response there says literally NOTHING about the points we are discussing here, OR the article itself. please focus on the subject under discussion? Lx 121 (talk) 17:14, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
