The USC group "Save Compton Creek" mentioned recently on the article does not follow Wikipedia's notability guidelines and there are no sources used. The flagged statements will be removed promptly unless notability is established through reliable sources. Seems more like a PR stunt for the students than for the creek. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.104.22.168 (talk) 21:52, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
"Save Compton Creek" was a spontaneously generated group that was an outgrowth of the seminal study based on the U.S Department of the Interior's landmark report on the creek, as studied by Professor Millsap. The group was not as important as either Interior's investigation or the interdisciplinary study. If the group was mentioned, it was because of their efforts on behalf of the creek, which needs to be saved. Are you helping?
