The Austrian Constitutional Court was established in 1919, in 1920 its competences were increased. In fact the Austrian court is older. --22.214.171.124 (talk) 23:05, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Well by this logic you could say that it was in fact continuation of the Reichsgericht, and that Austrian constitutional court dates back to 1867 and beyond.
However, it was constitutional court only by the name, not one in the way it is understood today - i.e. with the right of review of the acts of parliament, acting as "negative legislator". That was first instroduced in the Czechoslovakia in February 1920 (legally), and later that year in Austria (in practice). Cimmerian praetor (talk) 21:11, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
